Amazing Thank You Notes from Kids for a Childrenopolis Presentation

Hi everybody,

In the spring of 2019, I was invited to give a short presentation of my upcoming movie/musical Childrenopolis to a group of 9 and 10 year olds at the Project School, in Bloomington, Indiana. My at-that-time 10 year old voice student Makayla King helped arrange it with her school music teacher, Chris Bultman. I performed Tell 'Em About the Dream, Makayla sang The Paper Song, and I taught the kids to sing part of Love Makes the World Go Round, interspersed with me talking about the story of the movie.

I have never seen such excitement. The kids absolutely loved the songs, the characters, the plot, and the idea of a city of children. Dozens of kids eagerly waived their hands to be called on for a Q&A. Several kids had multiple questions. One girl had 4! The questions were so intelligent and thought-provoking. Some of them delved so deeply into the plot, they were quite challenging for me to answer. I was very impressed by the creativity, intelligence, insight, and maturity of these kids!

A week later Makayla gave me a stack of thank you cards from her class. I took photos of all of them so you can take a look!

This kid remembered the lyrics to Love Makes the World Go Round, and a scene where a guy sings this song as he rides a paint brush down a river!

Hope you enjoy looking at these thank you cards.

A month after the presentation, Makayla told me her classmates were still singing the Childrenopolis songs!

I am planning to have the screenplay finished by December 31st, so I can enter it in the Screencraft Screenwriting Competition, in the Family category.

In the meantime, if you know of anyone who has connections with Disney or any other big film company, or a multimillionaire who would be interested in funding Childrenopolis, please let me know! It's a big budget film, similar in scope to the 2017 Beauty and the Beast, with elaborate sets, costumes, and many big song and dance numbers.
