Love Makes the World Go Round
Announcing the release of the first version of my song "Love Makes the World Go Round"! It's the title track of my upcoming album of original songs. This fall we plan to record the song again, featuring the Indiana University African American Choral Ensemble, directed by Dr. Ray Wise, under the auspices of The African American Arts Institute, led by Dr. Charles Sykes. Thanks to AACE bass Nick Philbeck for being the liaison to Ray Wise. I am incredibly honored and excited that Ray and Charles have chosen this song for the AACE to record and perform.
The song Love Makes the World Go Round will also be featured in Childrenopolis, the movie/musical I am co-writing, in yet a different version, in many languages, and as a leitmotiv sprinkled throughout the movie. I would like to dedicate this song to Ethel Caffie-Austin, with whom I studied gospel piano and singing. It was a great honor to study with her. I don't think I would have ever been able to write a song like this without what I learned from her. She is sometimes called the Mahalia Jackson of West Virginia.
